Dial 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
Just this month the federal government launched its new phone number for the Suicide Prevention Lifeline. The old number 1-800-273-TALK (8255) still works. This new number 988 is easy to remember and easy to dial, especially when one is in distress.
Free help is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. and There is always someone available who can help.

Who can call?
Anyone, anytime. If you are a new mother feeling overwhelmed by the demands of your baby and feeling down, give them a call.
College students struggling with the stress and anxiety of a Summer internship and feeling at the end of your rope, can call them at any time.
If you are in the LGBTQ+ community, which is suffering greatly in these times, call them if you need to talk.
